BIOGRAPHY
Luca Tozzi was born in Italy. He was educated at Susanna Egri Dance Academy in Turin and received the State Diploma of Classical Dance Teaching in France in 1998. He joined Balletto Teatro di Torino (a.d. Loredana Furno), Corpo di Ballo dell´Arena di Verona (a.d. Pierre Lacotte), Royal Theater of Turin (a.d. Robert North), then he became principal dancer with Ballet du Capitole (a.d. Nanette Glushak), in Toulouse.
In 1986, he received Second Prize “Gonzaga” Ballet Competition in Mantova in Italy. He danced different roles and worked with choreographers such as Oscar Araiz, Fernando Bujones, Nacho Duato, Robert North, Hans van Manen, Glen Tetley, Angelin Preliocaj, Lionel Hoche, Mario Pistoni, Roberto Fascilla, Joseph Russillo, Luc Bouye, Mauro Bigonzetti, Thierry Malandain, Davide Bombana and others.
He was performed in the famous ballet performances of George Balanchine, Sir Frederick Ashton, John Cranko, Agnes de Mille or Jiří Kylián.
Luca Tozzi has created also very successful ballets in the Ballet & Dance Workshop of the Prague International Ballet (a.d. Jana Kurova). In 2007 he created Ficticious Live with music by Jean Philippe Goudé and in July 2008 he made “The Last Cut” with music by Johann Sebastian Bach and David Lang again for the Ballet & Dance Workshop in Ostrava. From 2003 he is working as Assistant of Choreographer and Ballet Master:
In 2005, he was Assistant of Davide Bombana for his creation of ballet performance of “Carmen” . From 2003 till 2006 he was working as Assistant of the Ballet Master in the Ballet du Capitole in Toulouse, (ballets: “Theme and Variations” and “Apollo” by George Balanchine). . In 2007, Guest Ballet Master Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava (a.d. Mário Radačovsky) . In 2008, Guest Ballet Master Corpo di Ballo dell Teatro dell´Opera di Roma (a.d. Carla Fracci)
