KAISSERLIAN July 22 to 27 - July 29 to August 3 - August 5 to 10 After many years of training in France, Martine gained
a scholarship from the British Council of Arts for
the LABAN Centre in London, which made it possible
for her to work with great masters such as Yuriko,
Merce Cunningham, M.Louis aswell as Karin Weahner,
Clay Tagliaferro and many others. Constantly trying
to deepen her knowledge and understanding of these
techniques, Martine Kaisserlian developed a work based
on fluidity, sensitivity and awareness of the body.
Besides contemporary dance she also teaches movement
analysis which is fundamental for any dance student. She is a resident teacher at OFFJAZZ

Contemporary dance:Denis GIULIANIJuly 22 to 27
Initially trained at the Rosella HIGHTOWER International Dance Center. He then joined the "jeune ballet de France" dance company before working with contemporary choreographers ("systeme Castafiore", Boivin, Decoufle), also creating later his own dance company called ''Mobil Home'' in 2008.
Denis Giuliani works as a dance instructor for the University of Nice where he teaches contemporary dance and stage production. He also works for different Conservatoires and dance schools and he is a national jury member for the FFD (French Federation of Dance). His work focuses on the notion of "the body in motion" and he's been developing techniques that enable the optimization of movement in correlation with an artistic project, could it be dancing or acting.

Danseur dans plusieurs productions lyriques et Ballets : avec l'Opéra de Paris, l'Opéra de Saint-Etienne, l'Opéra de
Nantes, l'Opéra de Nancy... interprète et assistant à la Mise en scène et à la chorégraphie pour la compagnie «Système
Castafiore» (de 1994 à 2011), la Compagnie Orteils de sable ( Ballets contemporains de Saint-Etienne).
Chorégraphe de la compagnie «Le Sixièmétage» (Danse Théâtre), Tournées internationales, crée également des pièces pour
d'autres structures; BCSE - Dansencorps - ESDC Rosella HIGHTOWER.
Intervient en tant que professeur à l'Université de Nice-Sophia-Antipolis. Jeff BIZIEAU est également plasticien (diplômé
de l'Université Jean Monet de Saint-Etienne et Paris VIII – Licence, Maîtrise et DEA d'Arts-plastiques).
Contemporary dance:Emmanuel SOULHAT-G5 au 10 août
While studying ballet with Daniel Franck and José Ferran, he discovers through Alvin Nikolais the contemporary dance, studies with Peter Goss, He then performed with Gigi Caciuleanu, in the
Ballet-Théâtre Joseph Russillo in Toulouse, in the Ballet Preljocaj at Aix-en-Provence. He studied also intensively baroque dance and paticipated in several movies: « Le Roi dance » choreography by Béatrice
Massin, to the dance companies of Christine Bayle (L’Eclat des Muses) at Royaumont, and Geneviève Massé (L’Eventail) at the Opéra
de Paris and the USA with « Les Arts Florissants » led by William Christie. Choreographer himself, teacher, he builds very interesting links between contemporary technique and baroque style, both

LAVIGNEJuly 29 to August 3 - August 5 to 10 After having
studied at the Rosella Hightowers International Dance
Centre, Sylvie Lavigne worked as a soloist for Joseph
Rusillo Ballet Theatre and then for Théâtre
du Silence where she danced on international stages
in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Korea, etc...)
She then settled in Cannes and formed her own company
"SYLVIE L" 25 years ago.
After studies in yoga and and then Tai-chi, Sylvie
discovered the Feldenkrais method and was trained
as a teacher by Myriam and Sabine Pfeiffer at the
Accord Mobile de Paris.
TOZZIJuly 22 to 27 - July 29 to August 3 Luca Tozzi works as a dancer for the Ballet de l'Arene de Verone, Theatre Regio in Turin, Ballet de Venise, Capitole de
Toulouse. The choreographers that Tozzi has worked with include Oscar Araiz, Fernando Bujones, Nacho Duato, Robert North,
Hans van Manen, Glen Tetley, Angelin Preliocaj, Lionel Hoche, Mario Pistoni, Roberto Fascilla, Joseph Russillo, Luc Bouye,
Mauro Bigonzetti, Thierry Malandain and David Bombana. Tozzi has also worked as a choreographer for a few international
dance companies and in 2009, he won the award for best choreography at the dance contest "Prix de Danse" in Cuneo, Italy.
Tozzi teaches ballet in a personal way where the strength of the Russian technique is combined with the swiftness and the
modernity of the Balanchine style.

Jean-Sebastien COLAU was trained at the "Ecole du Ballet de l'Opera National de Paris" (Claude BESSY) joined the prestigious Opera dance company in 1996, the "Ballet National du Canada" 2005 and the Opera of Leipzig where he was awarded the title of "Danseur Etoile" . Received the "Medaille d'Argent" during the dance
contests in Paris and Nagoya, and "Medaille de Bronze" in Varna. In 2010, best dancer of the year at the Re Manfreddi Festival for his performance as Albrecht in "Giselle" by Carla
As a "Danseur Etoile", he performs internationally. Jean-Sebastien COLAU has performed all the major
parts of the classical repertoire. Paul Chalmer created the "L'Oiseau de Feu", "Giselle", "Piaf a Deux" and "The Nutcracker" especially for him; David BOMBANA created the part of Jason in "Medee" especially for him too.
also worked with Maurice BEJART, Roland PETIT, Lucilda CHILDS, John NEUMEIER, James KUDELKA and
Glen TETLEY. It is an honor to be able to host such a great artist during our workshop.

After a complete dance training in ballet in Italy and United States, she follows a marvellous experience as a dancer : artist for the Teatro Verdi at Verona (Italy), soloist at the Salzbourg Opera (Austria), Wiener Ballett Theater (Vienna), Arena di Verona.
Through her professional experience she danced different repertories (M.Petipa, A.Bournonville, M.Fokine, A.Tudor, J.Cranko, J.Butler,…) and worked with very famous choreographers such as R.North, B.Cohen, L.Massine, L.Bouy, A.Amodio, Y.Vamos, M.Levaggi, D.Parson, D.Parker, P.Chalmer, P.Lacotte,…. around the world. Teacher in Italy,
she is our guest for this summer dance workshop.

Prized for best interpretation at the Torino Jazz
Dance Festival, he currently teaches at Offjazz and
the Cultural Centre of Biot. He danced with Off Jazz
Dance Company and in other productions in Monto Carlo
and Paris. He is very apreciated by the students for
his creativity and for the very special music he uses
in his classwork, a very urban dynamic and sensual

He performed as a dancer with
Paris Jazz Ballet, OFF JAZZ DANCE COMPANY (Gianin
Loringett) and Danse Ensemble (G.Armstrong and W.Barbaste).
He has also performed in various musical productions
such as La Vie en Bleu (R. Hossein), worked as the choreographer for the production of Sirella ( Water ballets with M.Hermine).
He currently teaches in Paris at the Harmonic Dance Studio and travels as guest teacher
through out Europe
His work may be caracterised as lyrical jazz. He is very ap^preciated by the students for his patience and kindness..
LORINGETT July 22 to 27 - August 5 to 10 Choreographer
and artistic director for OFF JAZZ DANCE COMPANY in
Paris and founder of OFF JAZZ DANCE CENTRE in Nice,
he devotes all his energy to teaching for festivals,
dance workshops and choreography for performances
all over the world: Europe, Russia, China, India, South America.
He is a well known and respected choreographer and
an exceptional teacher who brings many different dance
and musical styles to life. He recently staged a original version of "Swan Lake" in Calcutta (India) the choreography was a melting of Indian Kathak and jazz. dance. His work is based on a strong work on fundamentals, rhythme and specific hand work (mudras).

and tap at Off Jazz in Nice and trains students for

dance:Joelle BOVIS August 5 to 10
Following a multifaceted training in France, Joelle Bovis fell in love with the energy and the spirit of the American jazz
dance. After she obtained her green card in 1992, Bovis stayed in Los Angeles and New-York for 6 years where she
professionally worked on different projects, including dancing for some modern and jazz dance companies, appearing in
video clips and being featured as a tap dancer for some special events at the Hollywood Bowl Theater. Bovis also worked as
a dance instructor for Moro LANDIS dance studios, as well as others.
Bovis is currently employed as the supervisor of the dance department for the Conservatoire in Anthony. She is licensed
with the CA and the DE national dance degrees and is a regular jury member for the DE dance exams. Communication, fun and
high-energy are just a few words that define her work. Bovis instinctively knows how to gain her students' trust and
awakens in them a passion for dance and self-expression.

he turned to tap. Trained by Michel Leveillé and
Gianin Loringett he follows the work of Uwe Meusel during
his workshops. As a dancer he takes part in many productions;

musicians (Caveau de la Huchette, Cannes Water Smposium),
Nice Traditional Jazz Festival, events and conventions.
He dances with the OFF JAZZ JUNIORS dance company and

For entry onto our professional dance courses, candidates
are assessed in 3 disciplines: classical ballet, contemporary
PART-TIME Dance Studies (school programme)
For secondary school pupils between the ages of 11
and 18, a special part time dance course is available.
Auditions held by appointment. Registration must be
done at the school once accepted by the dance centre;
Full time dance course from intermediate level to
advanced in all disciplines/ classical ballet, contemporary,
jazz, tap, movement analysis, repertoire, choreographic
studies, music for dance, theory and other subjects
related to the arts. The dancers can major in ballet,
contemporary or jazz. Auditions will be held during
the summer courses.
National Diploma in Dance Teaching
Diploma course for training teachers. This programme
is offered full-time (2 years) or part-time for people
who are already working as teachers. The dance centre
is validated by the Ministère de la Culture.
Preparation for the entrance examination (E.A.T. ballet,
contemporary, jazz) during the summer course , during
the school year (Required level: Advanced). Information
